Subject: Raw/LifeFood/Living food/organic/vegan potluck in Sedona, Arizona...

Hi all,
Once again we are at the weekend, and have no place to hold this weeks
potluck.

Does anyone have any ideas?

We welcome all suggestions, and completely appreciate all who would love to
host, and all who have already hosted an event....

I believe we have a place for next weekend, and one weekend in July...
I'll let you know, both by email, and we will post a flyer at New Frontiers.

Also, if you know of anyone who would be interested in attending, please
spread the word..

We are looking for an official name for our group...any ideas?

We are also in the process of setting up and confirming dates for the Fall
Full Spectrum Living Lecture Series. It sounds really exciting... We have
speakers lined up through March 2001..

Dr. David Jubb is coming back to Sedona in August....

If anyone is interested in Organic Skin Care, and a possible business
opportunity...let me know..

and check out this amazingly informative website
www.fullspectrumliving.freelife.com

You can also call this number for a 3 minute talk on the reasons why you
need to be aware of what you are putting on your skin... 1 877 382-2657 It
is free, and very interesting.

Look forward to connecting with, and seeing you all soon,
Sharon (Firefly)

I definately believe that it is in your best interest to accept the fact that
David does not live up to your standards and never will. Thank the universe
we all get to decide how we feel. I love and respect alot of people that are
not perfect....Everyone, I guess.
Have some fun today let's try to forgive each other just for the hell of it.
Not for them, mind you, but for our peace of mind.
Enough of this...Forrest-go ahead-have the last word. It appears that you
need it.

Hi Barbara,

Your post was directed to Forest but I'd like to comment if I may.

As an individual, I'd like to refrain from expecting others to meet
my standards or to adopt my world view. I can't say that I NEVER do
this. If someone walks into my house and slaps on a Spice Girls CD,
I'm more likely to replace it with John Coltrane -- quickly! But over
the years it's been getting easier and easier to let go.

It is fortunate that we all have the power to decide how we feel
about external events or other people.

For I accept the fact that the medical industry is squandering huge
sums of money and resources on allopathic treatments; that patients
largely subscribe to these treatments rather than determine their own
level of health through self-education.

However, as a person with a keen interest in MY health and fitness, I
don't have to like it. And I want to continue to explore resources
available to me. Belonging to this list group (and others) is one
avenue.

I also accept the fact that members of NFL have brazenly displayed
intellectual dishonesty by plagiarizing the works of others and
continuing to ignore these infractions by selling their first title.

But as a writer, I don't have to like it. And because NFL have
marketed themselves as cutting edge educators and writers of health
and raw food diets, I WILL hold them to a minimal level of integrity
and competence. I don't feel such standards are overly stringent.

I am very calm and clear about their plagiarism.

Also, I don't get the sense that Forest is agitated by this issue.
He's simply indicating an irregularity that he has observed with the
group, and that until it's resolved, NFL's integrity is suspect
(Forest, if I'm off base here please correct me).

Barbara (and to other list members), I know you're tired of this
thread, but do you really feel that this issue is about forgiveness
and having fun? If we refuse to discuss matters that involve the
credibility of the raw food community on a forum such as this, how
does that reflect on our commitment to honesty and openness? Do you
not feel that it's worthwhile to encourage those in leadership roles
who represent the community at large to abide by intellectual and
copyright laws?

"I've met him and he's a nice guy" is one observation.

Another is the on-line documentation which can be read by anyone on this list.

If the two don't jive, then does it not behoove us to further examine
the inconsistency?

Sincerely,
Jo
PS: I hope I don't get the last word on this!

Hello fellow raw food enthusiasts!

I was first introduced to the raw food diet last summer. I am not a purist
but I am very excited about the increasing amount of raw food that has come
into my diet. I look forward to being a part of this ongoing dialogue.

i believe we are all perfect just the way we are on some level (unconditional
love).i also believe
all people have the ability to grow and change and evolve.

 Thank the universe

ya, right on sounds good to me, create our own reality.

I love and respect alot of people that are

yes, i do too, i agree, i get the impression that you feel i am aloof, but i
really don't think so, i'll be the first to admit i'm not perfect. i been thru
the mill tryin to form extended families for years and so i'm a bit wary of
all huWoMans, but i haven't given up and i keep evolving the process.
eccentric maybe :-)

ya, you have some fun too. i do forgive people while at the same time holding
them accountable for the heaven of it.

for the good of all if possible.

barbara, i do not want to have the last word, in the spirit of trancendance of
polarity there is no beginning and end. i support the continuum concept. let's
keep sharing words until they turn to music....... all
we need is love. aloha and peace, forest for earth releaf.

Please change the subject lines in responses (at least a little)...I am
losing my bearings reading all of this...

Jo is right on about the importance of the real subject matter here! (below)

"...do you really feel that this issue is about forgiveness and having fun?
If we refuse to discuss matters that involve the credibility of the raw food
community on a forum such as this, how does that reflect on our commitment
to honesty and openness?"

If we do not talk about uncomfortable subjects, unsettling thoughts, or even
"rumors"...we may end up CREATING FALSE DOCTRINE OF OUR OWN!!!

About NFL specifically...will I be able to trust their sources in the
future? Can I respect them? What is true and what is not? It is hard enough
without all of this extra...shhh-tuff. Really, I would be happy if they
would stop artificially blowing up their image to be what they want the
world to percieve them as...JUST BE......and BE darn good! That is all I
expect from them if they want these titles and respect.

...at least a mark has been made (NFLs great publicity & visability)...and
now we can make a fair measure by making more marks to contrast and compare
by...

With love,

Ren
