Sit Up Strait!!!
I laughed at the teacher when she told me to sit up straight
She was so old and sour and unhappy
I didn’t really hear what she was saying
I just saw her explode and I heard her sputter
But if I was listening carefully
I would have heard the complete text:
“Sit up straight, you stupid little citizen, because you are going to be sitting in that chair everyday for the rest of your life. Your body will decay worse than mine as you abuse and neglect yourself. If you don't learn to sit up straight now, you will not even be able to walk when you are 60!
Now!! Sit at attention immediately, before I shoot your spine with cortical steroids!!!”
