Dear Dan,

	I really loved your idea of setting up an open source competition for the discovery of new nutraceuticals. (I fully sympathize with your idea to create intstr.net, and the fact that in the face of malicious attacks you were able to keep your site up) As you may know, I suffer from breast cancer, and am currently taking herbal treatments for my illness. I would love to contribute to your upcoming breast cancer competition by pledging a several million dollar reward for the person who comes up
with the best idea for fighting breast cancer. you have all my support for your cause. I look forward to a better future for all humanity.

Best wishes,
Suzanne

Hi Kathryn,

the Sanibel Island area includes Naples, right ? If so, I know the area
pretty well and there is only a couple of health food store, the best one
being the Sunsplash market. Oh, but I remember, there was a living food
"center" in an hotel (something like Best Western or Days Inn)... I don't
know if it still exists and I don't have the web site anymore.

Good luck !

Subject: [rawlife] WHY YOU ARE SICK. HOW TO GET WELL AND STAY WELL

Marie Betz wrote that she had 13 angioplasties, 9 stents and numerous
catheterizations. She could have healed herself initially, when she first
developed her cardiac symptoms and completely avoided her having had those
traumatic angioplasties, stents and catheterizations. Marie, you can heal
yourself now, completely and permanently, of all your health problems, by
reading and putting into continual practice, the procedures indicated in what
I have written below, herein.
Laurie Derwey wrote "I have been sick for a long time and need to make
changes. You can help by giving information, Ii am learning so much and I am
healing. I am open for anything."
          WHY YOU ARE SICK. HOW TO GET WELL AND STAY WELL
Obviously, the more you physiologically rest your body, sleep, fasting,
feelingly meditate, etc., the faster you heal.
All pain, symptoms, dysfunction, illness and disease, are self-limited, i.e.,
will heal by themselves, if you do not suppress your health problems, whether
they be physical, mental and/or spiritual.
All health problems when you first develop them are acute, and will self-heal
within seconds, minutes, hours or days.
If you suppress your acute health problems, i.e., interfere with its
self-healing, you develop a chronic health problem, which may exist for
weeks, months, years or a lifetime. If you don't permit your chronic health
problem to self-heal, it will exacerbate and eventually kill you. That is why
all living beings prematurely die, whether they be humans, animals or plants.
All living beings, if and when they die, should die only from so-called
natural causes at a very advanced age. or from very severe trauma.
I get better results in helping heal any kind of health problem, physical,
mental and spiritual, than any other health or metaphysical practitioner in
the world, because I know and apply these procedures, to all the sick people
and sick animals who I care for and help.

depends a bit on the humidity of the air, if in the sahara, no problem,
but in
a tropical rainforest it might be a challenge. the juiceyer the and
thicker the
fruit or vege being dried the harder it is to dry without a regulated
heat
source of less than a hundred degrees from me limited experience. it
needs to
maintain air circulation and heat 24 hours a day, not just daytime. i do

believe it is possilbe to make high quality dry food under very exact
conditions and storing for time of famine and off season if need be.

Theresa,

>I was just concerned that if it is raw it might be contaminated by
bacteria.

Bacteria will not hurt a healthy dog. Besides, their stomachs are so
much more acid than ours that no bacteria could survive them anyway.

>what I do know is that animals that do not get influenced by human
beings get their full life span and are >virtually disease-free

See. You answered your own concern. Bacteria is not a problem.

>with our company they get sick fat and even look like us.

It's not our company; it's the cooked food we feed them.

>but do I believe there was a time when there was a peaceable kingdom
where the lion and lamb drank >together from the same pool and there
wasn't any killing at all- is that hard to believe?

Well, there doesn't seem to be much evidence for it. What did the lion
eat in those times?

>has anybody dried fruit and mashed wheatberries like this without it
getting
>moldy?

Yes. But in some cases you might need a fan to blow on it. One of our
M2M'ers built his own dehydrator with a similar setup as you describe and
uses a fan to do the drying. The one you describe needs sun and/or a
good breeze to work well, I think.

Of course, really high quality food won't mold anyway, but that another
story. It's about as scarce as unicorns anyhow.

Bob (self),

>Got lots of things planted so far -- cukes, zukes, parsley, (celery
>maybe), cilantro, two types of tomatoes, broccoli (lots), cauliflower,
>kale, lettuce -- with watermelon, cantaloupe, tatsoi, and jerusalem
>artichokes soon to join the party.

And fennel - -I forgot.

Neil,

>he's the first one to
>turn me onto white fillings and he will use transillumination vs. xray
to
>evaluate teeth

(a) What are white fillings? Mine are "white" too, some porcelain and
some composite. Is that what you mean?

(b) Can you post something or give a link to infrormation about
transillumination? I'd like to have it to take to my dentist the next
time they try to cajole me into getting x-rays.

Brenda,

>We have a cat who loves dry food and canned food, and the only raw she
will eat for the most part is raw >tuna which is very very expensive

Cats are very fussy, and they can get addicted to cooked food just like
people. If you are willing to put up with the hassle, you could fast her
for a few days and then offer the raw food. And if she refuses, keep
fasting her until she changes her mind. She will.

Alternatively, find some raw food she can't refuse -- a live mouse, a
freshly caught fish.

>We feed her part raw, part commercial cat food, working our way to
getting her to 100%. We did have >her at 100% for a few months in the
past,

Oh, yeah, the gradual approach. That works too. (:-)

>Plus we had hospital/financial crises and simply couldn't pay for
tuna...

What about cheaper fish? What about fish trimmings? What about suet and
other butcher trimmings? These are all very cheap.

>Sorry so late....having a real hard time keeping up with emails lately.

Ditto.

Suzanne,

>As you may know, I suffer from breast cancer, and am currently taking
herbal treatments for my illness.

Wrong treatment. You need to find and eliminate the cause of your
cancer. Herbal deficiency is not the cause.

>a several million dollar reward for the person who comes up
>with the best idea for fighting breast cancer.

Offer it to Harvey Diamond. He'd be glad to accept. He's already
written the book on breast cancer. Have you read it yet? (Put his name
into Amazon's search engine.)

Bob,

If she caught this stuff, killed it and ate it herself---fine. I =
couldn't bear catching a fish and watching it suffocate to death nor =
handing a cute sweet little mouse to her. I'd most likely pet the mouse, =
love it, and want to protect it.

As yet, we'll have to stick with the gradual approach and spend the =
money on the expensive stuff. She will also eat good cuts of beef, but =
it has to be high quality and pretty fresh. After a couple days in the =
fridge, she wants nothing to do with it.

Theresa,

I struggle with the issue of meat, however, the only cat food I know of =
that's non-meat is cooked, and although people have had cats with long =
healthy lives on the right vegan food, I still can't get past the fact =
that they are carnivores. I don't like the idea that people are out =
massively stripping the oceans of fish, not to mention all the suffering =
of the fish and other sea life, but my cat does not have access to wild =
food on her own.

I have started giving the dogs more veggies. And they also eat fruits =
and the strainings from nuts when making various nut milks, among other =
raw vegan foods. All in all, they are probably eating about 50% meat =
right now and doing well. I may up the veggies a bit more but don't know =
if it's right to give them no meat. We don't give them anything that =
came from a factory farm at least, but still the thought of mass =
butchering does bother me, even from organic farms. When we get our 200 =
acres, I'm hoping they will adjust well to doing their own hunting =
(including the cat)...and we will work on growing lots of fruits and =
veggies, so I'm hoping I won't feel compelled to buy meat again after =
that. I really don't like supporting the meat industry.

Bob,

> What do you know about Transillunination? Do you use it?

BOB--Wow! Breakthru technology. Transillunination in dentistry is the
practice of shining a bright light thru teeth, generally with fibreoptic
cable focusing light on the tooth, relying on the intact enamel rods to
carry the light thru the tooth to be viewed from the other side. If the
enamel rods are not intact, for example if the tooth is fractured, or if
they've been destroyed by caries, the light is not transmitted as well & the
other side of the tooth appears darker. If the pulp is inflamed in that
part of the tooth, the light will transmit a pink color. It's a tool we
were the first to bring to Tahoe in 1972 & which I used every day & would
refuse to practice without because, yes it shows things that x-rays don't &
it's completely harmless visible light.
    I lectured on it to dental groups, wrote on the subject for 28 years &
still less than half my colleagues use it ... even the other dentists who
shared my practice! I found their indifference to the most powerful
non-invasive & inexpensive diagnostic tool in dentistry absolutely amazing.
I kinda suspect the facts that it's cheap & harmless to be major reasons for
its unpopularity among dentists. In the last few years dental mfg co's have
created multi-thousand dollar laser diagnostic machines that do the same
thing & they'll probably be popular with the dentists. Strange!

Subject: [rawlife] HOW TO HELP HEAL YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY OF ANY HEALTH PROBLEM

HOW TO HELP HEAL YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY OF ANY HEALTH PROBLEM
You can definitely heal yourself immediately of any problem, physical, mental
and spiritual, if you feelingly meditate on your symptoms.
Unfortunately you probably may not understand what I describe on how to
"feel" your symptoms as described in my article on "Meditation", on my web
site.
Obviously, it is always more advantageous to spend every available moment in
your life, to heal yourself of any kind of health problem, physical, mental
and/or spiritual.
But the ideal method of 24 hours per day, 7 days per week is not a practical
way of life, for many people who need to resolve their socioeconomic
obligations, to survive and live, in our civilization. You can definitely
heal your health problem, completely and permanently, if you do as I suggest
in my "Meditation" article. If you were a member of my immediate family, I
would just as sincerely, give you the same advice.
To better understand what I write as to how to heal yourself, to help heal
your health problem, you and one of your loved ones, should read and practice
every moment that you and your loved one can, the procedures as described in
my articles on "Laying on of Hands" and "Touching" on my web site.
 From my article on "Touching":
"Teach sick persons that their bodies are constantly talking to them. Teach
them to keep their eyes closed and feel, meditate, concentrate, think on what
their bodies are telling them to do. Teach them to do what their bodies tell
them to do. Teach them that they can touch with their own fingers, sick parts
of their own bodies and 'heal' themselves.
Every spare moment that you can, whether you are at home, whether you are at
work, or wherever you are when you are not sleeping, lovingly touch with your
hand, your health problem wherever it exists in your body, and 'feelingly
meditate' on your symptoms, until your symptoms disappear.
Also whenever your loved one has the opportunity, tell your loved one, to
lovingly touch you as often and as long as your loved one can, on the area of
your body where you have your health problem, until your symptoms disappear."
The "Laying on of Hands" procedure for your loved one to do to you is
described in my articles "Laying on of Hands" and "Touching", on my web site.
"The body reacts to the stress in the sick part and creates inflammation in
that sick part to heal it. As part of the inflammatory reaction of the body
in the stressful bodily part, the body instinctively brings its healing
resources to the effected part, to heal it. Touching it where it hurts is the
most innate response to pain. The 'healers' hands must come into contact with
the sick person's body. The sick area of the body always feels tense, rigid,
taut, stiff, tight and resistant to the 'healer's' touch. The sick part of
the body always feels tense and rigid to palpation (examination by touch)
because the healing intelligence of the body, wants that sick part to
physiologically rest and remain immobile. The tense and rigid area of the
body is spastic muscle. (A spasm is an involuntary and abnormal muscular
contraction). The only parts of our bodies of which we have volitional
control are our skeletal (striated) muscles, our skeletal muscles are
extensions of our brain. In every inflammation in the body, the healing
intelligence of the body causes pain in that slick part to prevent the sick
person, foolishly, from trying to move the sick part. The healing
intelligence of the body is trying to, physiologically, rest that part
During the 'touch' healing, communicate non-verbally to the sick person, 'I
care about you', 'I love you' and 'your life matters to me'. Touch with your
heart wide open. The healthier and more loving the person doing the touching,
the better healing results to the sick person. Touching lovingly is
reassuring and nurturing, and strengthens the sick person's 'will to live'.
Be motivated by a profound desire to heal and communicate the restorative
energy to the sick person.
A 'life' force healing energy runs through all living beings. This energy can
always be transmitted through your fingers to any other living being of your
choice, and heal such living being, immediately, when you lovingly hand touch
such living being!
It is impossible to have any dysfunction or pathology in the body without
there also being an existent, protective muscle spasm over, adjacent to and
surrounding the dysfunctional bodily part. That is why you can help any sick
bodily part, by hand touch healing, the respective adjacent, surrounding
muscle spasticity.
During the loving touch healing, teach the sick to close their eyes, keep the
eyes closed, to concentrate, to meditate, to feel, to think on the
discomfort, in the sick area of the body. The sick person keeps the eyes
closed till the sick person no longer feels discomfort in that part of the
body. The 'healers', with gentle, light pressure-feel and examine with their
fingers, the surface of the sick person's body. They feel for any abnormal
consistency of the parts in the area where the sick person complains of
feeling discomfort. They touch and compare by feeling, the sick area of the
body with other normal areas of the body near the sick area. They touch and
feel the corresponding opposite 'normal' part or side of the sick area of the
body. The 'healers' touch 'normal' areas of the body near the sick area and
the corresponding opposite 'normal' part. or side of the sick area. They do
this so as to know what 'normal' feels like in that sick person's body. This
is done so as to ascertain if the sick part of the body is 'normal' or
abnormal, when compared with 'normal' parts of the body. The 'healers' must
concentrate on the sick person's sick part. They must 'feel' that the sick
part of the person is the 'healers' own sick part, when the 'healers' touch
the sick part. The 'healers' must empathize and vicariously identify with the
person's sick part. Teach sick persons that their bodies are constantly
talking to them. Teach them to keep their eyes closed and feel, meditate,
concentrate, think on what their bodies are telling them to do. Teach them to
do what their bodies tell them to do. Teach them that they can touch with
their own fingers, sick parts of their own bodies and 'heal' themselves. If
all living beings are touched lovingly, they will feel better and get better.
Since all humans, animals and-plants are made of the same vital 'life' force,
they receive the same life energy when lovingly touched, and will feel better
and get better."
These are quotations from my articles on "Laying on of Hands" and "Touching"
on my web site.
If you and your loved one do these procedures I have described above, herein,
as often as you and your loved one can, you will definitely heal your health
problem, completely and permanently.

Bob,

Do you use it instead of x-rays or in addition to them?

Thanks.

Subject: [rawlife] Marie, don't remove your stents. "Feelingly meditate" on your cardiac symptoms.

Marie Betz wrote that Dr. Bernarr suggested that she "should have the nine
stents removed as soon as possible."
Since my suggestion to you re: your stents removal, apparently has created
much emotional stress for you, I recant on my previous suggestion to you, re:
your stent removal.
Keep the stents inside of your arteries. Instead of removing your stents,
"feelingly meditate", as often as you can, on whatever cardiac symptoms, the
stents are creating in your arteries, until those cardiac symptoms completely
disappear.
By this "feeling meditation" on your cardiac symptoms, you can live
satisfactorily for many, many years and your cardiovascular system, will
function satisfactorily.

Subject: [rawlife] : Cardio Clear

	Hi, All,
Here is a response I received from the company that makes
CardioClear...for any of you who are interested in this subject.
Marie Betz
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Marie,
The product Cardio Clear is compatible with most coronary appendages;
stents, valves etc.  The EDTA is very effective in removing toxic metals,
lead, aluminum etc, as well as arterial plaque and vastly improving
circulatory conditions..  We suggest a multi mineral taken with meals
along
with the Cardio Clear which is taken on an EMPTY stomach.  This insures
that
there will be ample minerals and no deficiencies in the body.
Hope this helps,
Subject: [rawlife] Nuts
Hi, Everyone,
I think you will all be interested in what Dr. Dean Edell has to say
about nuts.
Marie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Friday, May 18, 2001
  · Today's question from Dr. Dean

HealthCentral Resources
  · Ask a Question

Q: Olga: You say it’s good to eat nuts, but my cholesterol is 212 and I
haven’t had any nuts for about four months now.

A: Dr. Dean: You’ve got it backwards. For instance, we think that almond
consumption is one of the reasons that people who live in the
Mediterranean areas of the world have less heart disease. Three days ago,
a study was published on nut consumption and heart disease. The
conclusion was the fatty acids in nuts help lower cardiovascular risk.

Your cholesterol is not that high. New guidelines on cholesterol were
published today – there is a version in the New York Times – so you can
read all about it. They keep changing the rules so the drug companies can
sell us more cholesterol-lowering drugs.

Here I’ll read this to you because maybe you’ll feel a little better.
“Current guidelines list 200 mg of total cholesterol as desirable. Over
240 is considered high.” You’re not really in what is considered a
category of high.

Just keep eating those nuts. They are absolutely good for you. I love
nuts because what’s in nuts are certain kinds of fats that lower
cholesterol and prevent heart disease.

There is no cholesterol in nuts. Cholesterol is found in animal products,
dairy and meat, and even today we learned that drinking milk does not
increase your risk of heart disease. These are crazy times.

Dean Edell, M.D.
