Subject: eye color

I have been thinking about eye color since the discussion some time ago.

I have green eyes. No one has ever called them "hazel" - they are
definitely green. It was mentioned that there are only two eye colors, blue
& brown. I was born with green eyes, according to my mother and grand
mother, aunt, etc.....

Now here is my theory - my mother also had very green eyes. She died of
liver failure that we think may be been with her all of her life. Does that
maybe mean that she actually had blue eyes and the weak liver gave her
green? Blue plus the yellow of a bad liver makes green?

I've never been told I have any liver trouble, but then again she didn't
know this either until she was in her 70's.

Just my theory and was wondering anyone else's ideas on my green eyes. In
fact they are so green people accuse me of wearing tinted contacts.

Shari

Looking at the world at large - how many can have this beautiful opportunity
- - simple living? 2/3 of the world lives below poverty level and others just
cannot get off the "rat race".
Western culture and spiritual life has turned off so many, for good reasons
too. Grass always looks greener on the other side like the eastern religions
that have effected our culture nowadays - like the Karma you mentioned. There
have been great thinkers all right like Chandi and others.
While the world is shaking and suffering like Africa - how many millions are
dying from Aids - somewhat the effect of ignorance and "great freedom" -
polygamy for one. We have this freedom yet under "capitalism" to manipulate
our lives. The ones that have succeeded like Forest, Bob, Heide who have been
vocal - have the freedom and opportunities to do and thinks. Try to buy a
farm in most countries, not that easy. I have lived under many "isms" and
cultures and religions.
Great freedom and simple life is great, but is this the answer or
possibility for the world? Is there more to life than this or is there
alternatives. What do you think?
In His wonderful joy, Peter

well, i guess i am doing a bit of both at the moment, and by the way this one
individual community(family) a lotta people do hear about, i get a constant
stream of curiousity seekers and now and then they settle nearby to "think it
 over".

how do i measure effectiveness? good question. one way would be to live a
life
with the least polluting affect or least karma. this would no doubt be a step
by step process for most and might move faster in a coopertive family
environment.

i'm not sure i agree with that, his-story is full of cases where one
individual or small group had major impact on peoples ideas. some of them
were
living in far away places. especially today with techno media, people with
interesting ideas have more opportunity to be seen and heard.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be setting

i agree, that makes sense to me. effectiveness needs to consider the
individual's needs as well as the huWomanities. teaching by example in my
mind
is one of the most ideal ways to be effective individually and socially. and
it affects the spirit as well.

But you should realize that not

that's for sure, i haven't gone that far meself. like lookin for a few
needles
in a hay stack, but once one gets the bug, well slow but movin, i like hay
stacks.......

like many other theories, this one too is up for exception. just one for
example, are there not albinos? and altho there may be correct artistic
combining of blue plus yellow to make green, somehow i doubt that you were
born with a troubled liver. besides, the liver happens to be the most
regenerative inner major organ with the actuality that there are true eye
colors besides blue or brown. this comes from the doctor who helped in the
classic text on the subject with dr. jensen who i took an iridology class
from way back in the 70's when i was in chiropractic college. jensen did
write in his text, and i quote from pg. 165: " everyone seems to have
answers, yet few agree on the subject of eye coloration. we recognize that
the basic colors are blue or brown and can manifest in irides as the pure
color or a combination of the two. if science has computed that there are
no two snowflakes alike in a space of four million years, what chance do we
have in duplicating an iris? with all possible combinations of genetic
heritage, the variety of coloration is infinite. even the irides of
identical twins are different." why don't you try contacting dr. jensen
and other authorities on the subject to get their take now. i am confident
that there would be a variety of opinion like there is on just about
everything else in life. and speaking of variety, let's hear it for hazel,
grey, and other eye colors. viva la differance! neil

Greetings:

The Grassroots Recycling Network (GRRN) is supporting our Clean Computer
Campaign call for letters to high-tech companies that manufacturers need
to
share responsibility for the environmental fate of their products. GRRN
is
doing this by making their automated E-letter system available to SVTC.
It's easy to write the company(ies) of your choice and ask them a simple
question: "Where can I take my old computer?"

The companies include: Apple, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Dell and
IBM.

http://www.grrn.org/index_e-waste.html

If you are in a letter writing mood, there are other letters on our
website.
http://www.svtc.org/cleancc/4ht_letters.htm

In addition to: "Where can I take my old computer?" These letters cover:
*"Can your company takeback my computer?"
*When will you design a "green" computer?
*I support the ERIT (Electronics Responsibility Initiative Taskforce).
Do
you?"

i agree heide, jb is free to write in whatever style he prefers, but if he is
trying to share ideas with others, there are ways to be more effective and
clear about it. maybe he is content with confusing us. maybe you are content
with not understanding him, i like to get to the root of things and be clear
about it, that's all. not everybody is like that and that's ok. aloha, f

are we here to share poetry with each other, i like to do that, i have some,
but i suspect if i did the topic police would start calling me on it. it may
be beautifully flowing english(i question that) but it is very confusing to
decipher some of it.

i have been around poetic speaking people who can make a clear point or idea
and still be poetic. i just thought if he really wants to share ideas in a
group way, it might be easier to stick with simple terms we are all familiar
with. i do not feel it is a put down so much as a constructive suggestion to
be clearer in making a point. obviosly he can do what he wants, i was really
just tryin to help him be more effective in getting his message across. f

My journey was not an easy one. I arrived in New York City at age 18 with a
small suitcase and no money. But I knew I had to be responsible to myself
with no one to bail me out. I worked hard when others were playing. For
instance, I was living in an unrenovated house for five hard winters with
hardly any heat but I had a goal in front of me.....I still don't have it
easy but what I have I earned myself. I don't spend money for things that
are not in my budget just because I have credit cards or may have the money
in the back. I see so many people overspending and getting in debt and then
complain about "bills". But they drive a new car they can't afford and go
shopping all the time for "stuff" they don't need. My mom and I left
everything in the East when I was 10 and started anew with nothing in the
West. When we were able to get an unheated room without a bath and water one
flight down we were grateful. We knew how to make due and do without. We
slowly moved up to two rooms with cold running water, to three rooms with
cold running water, etc.

Hello rawsome people!

I'm new to the list. I've been trying to go 100% raw
since last March. For some reason, two weeks has been
my limit. I get very, very, very frustrated with that.
Does anybody know what to do when the "craving" comes
around????
Peace and Love to ALL!!!!!

                               Bella.

If you look closely, you can small patches of discolouration, these corespong to
various areas opf the body. If both parents have brown eyes, tehn
teh child will ahve brown eyes when born, so there has to be something
to do with Genetics I think... I think it is stretching the "toxic" theory
a bit far to say that newborn babies are SOOO toxicv that there eyes
are are brown instead of blue...... Anyway, any Iridoligist who tells
you how to clear up the eyes, certainly doesnt tell you to eat 100% Raw,
not from my expereince anyway.. so there is a bit of conflciting information
here!

those poverty folks are living simply, if we could educate them well and let
them continue their simple lives in nature i suspect over time with the
current knowledge of organic agriculture and diet they could outperform us in
spirit. we could over time meet them out there. i have been living like a king
off and on on an american poverty level since i graduated from high school and
left home. it hasn't been easy at times, especially those times when i had no
land access.

i don't totally buy into eastern religion but i do honor those who spent so
much time tryin to figure out what nature is all about. jesus was a good
teacher too, he fasted forty days and i never did that. i heard he spent time
in india.

i agree, africa is a hard place to live i bet, corrupt governments and
business interests.
as bob says, people need to be educated and made aware of all the choices we
have. as far as aids i have heard many weird conspiracies about how it spread.
i am still not sure, but i bet on a balanced raw food diet and spiritual
regime one might transcend the effects.

We have this freedom yet under "capitalism" to manipulate

success is a matter of degrees for all of us.as our crude form of democracy
slowly infiltrates the world dictatorships and monarchies we should start to
see more equal world global land trust access and opportunities, that is
assuming we can reach that level before the ecology falls apart.

> Great freedom and simple life is great, but is this the answer or

it is one of many no doubt, but i feel it is the first one to consider to
relax us enough to access the others.

Is there more to life than this or is there
> alternatives.

probably many alternatives, just be careful to note how they interact with
nature, do they enhance and harmonize it or destroy it? aloha, f

wild horses fed on grass would have vitality and libido. i suspect they would
be healthier. ones diet should reflect an improvement in overall physical
vitality, if not i would seriously be looking for refinements. i suspect
perhaps that is why we are all here. f
