Hi! My name is Linda and I live in Southern California. I have just
discovered raw eating and sprouting etc. I am still in the process of
deciding if this is what I want to do. So far it looks like exactly
what I need. I am 54 years old and have had some major health problems,
along with the age old fatigue and total lack of energy. I have 21
Days to Health and Beyond and I am in the process of starting to eat
raw. Lots of friends and family will be impressed if it works for me..
Looking forward to some of the benefits you all talk about.

Subject: Flexability on a raw diet

Hello all,

I am interested in getting feedback on how people are doing concerning physical
flexability while on a raw diet. I have tried different forms of raw diet for
about 12 years now. So far I haven't been able to eat fully raw and still
maintain flexability in my spine. It tends to stiffen up. Does anyone else
notice similar effects, or have explanation for this? Thanks.

Do you do the 5 Tibetan Rites regularly? That's what they are designed

I used to find that raw food gave me bad irritable bowel when eaten in

Following proper food combining principles heped, but going 100% raw got rid

Hope this helps

These people who have allergies to raw foods are showing typical reactions to
the cleansing properties of the raw food. They are indeed very toxic in
their bodies and you are right that a fast would be most beneficial for
them.

I knew a lady at the placed I worked who went from doctor to doctor to try
to find relief from her allergic reactions to so many things that she had to
watch out for everything she did. She had very bad acne and was about 50
years old. At that time I didn't know all about the cleansing effect of raw
food, but I remember her saying that she couldn't eat fruit because she had
candida.

Can someone tell me what sun-dried lime is? Maybe it's the dried
limes I see in middle-eastern markets. In the uncooked book
there are recipes that require some number of tablespoons of
sun-dried lime. If it's these dried limes, do I grind up the whole
thing?

Greg,

>No, what are they?

The Tibetan Rites of Rejuvenation are yogalike exercises that do the most
to exercise every muscle in your body in the least amount of time, and
spine flexibility is one of the focal points of Rites 2-5. There are
either 5 or 6 of them, depending on how you count.

A good book is Kilham's "The Five Tibetans," which costs about $10. You
could also order the appropriate backissue of the M2M from me for $7,
which has a description of each with diagrams, or you could try some
internet search engines and see what pops up.

A very good book for (beginning especially) raw fooders is Joe
Alexander's "Blatant Raw Foodist Propaganda!", which also discusses the
Rites (including the 6th) and how to perform them.

Once you work your way up to 21 repetitions of each exercise each day
(the recommended amount), you can do them all in 30-40 minutes.

I used to do them regularly and noticed great benefits, then fell out of
practice and haven't gotten back into doing them regularly -- but I
should.
