Hi! My name is Natalie, and I've been reading about diet and nutrition most
of my life. I remember having this instinct when I was younger, that it would
be great to be stranded on an island with only fruit available. Since I've read
Gabriel Cousin's book (I forgot the title) and Nature's First Law's book on
raw eating, and of course Fit For Life by the Diamonds, I became convinced man
was made to eat live food. I proved this to myself when I ate exclusively raw,
mostly fruits, for weeks. I became so happy to be alive, regained a natural
shape, and had physical energy to boot. Also, I became connected to another
dimension spiritually. A new "lightness" overcame me, and the depressions I
used to have were gone. I could feel the energy of the sun, and all the enzymes,
healing my body. The vibrational energy of my being definitely attracted people
into my circle. I'd read about this energy vibration/aura in Celestine Prophecy
and Way of the Peaceful Warrior (Dan Millman). I guess you could say I felt
the way a human being was created to feel. Most of my life I've dragged my feet
around in a lethargic state of mood swings, cravings, and mental confusion/excessive
sleepiness resulting from cooked food. Starches seem to be the worst culprit.
My real problem is avoiding the cooked foods. Luckily, my father practices this
too, and has lost about 20 lbs and regained his will to get up in the morning.
It takes much discipline and understanding to persue raw eating. I still carry
about 30 lbs too much for my ideal health because of all the cooked foods I
still eat in spurts. I could really use access to a network of other people
with similar health goals, as they are few and far in between! I also started
getting varicose veins, and this scares me, so I feel it is time to get "raw-er!"
I'd be glad to share any info. or exchange encouragement with any listening
ear. I would get a big boost from serious health-minded individuals who have
overcome in any way cravings for cooked foods. Also, I currently work in customer
service and am in my 3rd year of a creative writing degree. This should wrap
it up!
Sincerely,
Natalie T.
